This service is targeted to a complete and prompt cyber attack management, with special reference to after-incident remediation and monitoring phases.
Milan, 24 February 2021 – Axitea, Italian Global Security Provider, offers a Post Incident Management Response service to its customers, designed for complete cyber incident management, from technical resolution to post-event consultancy, with all the organizational and paperwork support required.
Among the top threats perceived by organizations, cyber attacks and data loss rank first. In 2019, 1,670 attacks occurred worldwide (counting only those that actually came to light), one every 5 hours, with an average annual impact of 13 million dollars per company, and consequences not only in blocking corporate functions and business continuity, but also in the loss of sensitive data, strategic assets and reputational capital.
In this context, tackling security breaches rapidly and effectively has become a critical factor for businesses, which, however, it is often invalidated by being interpreted as an isolate corrective event, whose load is completely burdened on the company IT department, and whose objective is solved “here and now”.
To tackle these issues, Axitea’s Post Incident Management Response service is built as an integrated process, which, starting from an initial assessment and kill chain reconstruction, supports the technical remediation with a paperwork, organizational and administrative support, projected also on the scenario following the attack.
In Axitea’s solution, the essential goal of restoring normal activities as quickly as possible, with minimal impact on the company’s business, is combined with a consequent assessment and preservation of the structure’s integrity, followed by an after-incident monitoring phase, aimed at preventing and identifying further attack attempts.
Specifically, the process is implemented through three steps:
This way, apart from reducing the corporate damage, administrative burden and impact on operations, the service also pursues the final goal of providing the company with an Incident Response capability, allowing it to improve over time, and preventing the recurrence of new attacks, as well as managing legal issues that may occur during the incident phases.
“Today, the cybersecurity market is especially crowded, and there are many vendors offering solutions designed to prevent the risks caused by an increasingly common cybercriminality”, says Maurizio Tondi, Axitea’s Security Strategy Director. “However, often times the companies have to tackle the consequences of a cyber attack alone, and this is where Axitea wants to offer its experience, by resorting to a unique mix of skills, developed over the years, that can truly and concretely support the resumption of activities.”
