Axitea joins with Treedom to protect the environment and sustainability

For World Earth Day, the Global Security Provider announces a collaboration with Treedom, involving the planting of 5,000 trees.

Milan, 22 April 2022 – Axitea, which operates as a Global Security Provider on the Italian and international markets, for World Earth Day announces a collaboration with Treedom, the first platform in the world that allows people to plant a tree from a distance and follow the project’s history online.

The agreement signed between the two provides for 1,000 trees per year to be planted in the Axitea Forest, Axitea’s intention being to reach 5,000 by 2026. These are fruit and forestry trees included in agroforestry projects in Africa and Latin America, which will bring environmental, but also social and economic benefits to the local communities involved.
Since Treedom was founded in 2010, more than 3 million trees have been planted directly by local communities in Africa, Latin America and Asia. Thanks to this innovative social business model, since 2014, Treedom has been a member of the Certified B Corporations, the network of companies that distinguish themselves through high environmental and social performance.

Each tree on Treedom is geolocated, photographed at the time of planting and has its own online page on treedom.net: it is thus possible to receive news about the agroforestry project of which it is a part.
