Thanks to the new solution any camera becomes smart
Milan, 30 May 2022 – Axitea, operating as a Global Security Provider on the Italian and international market, presents AI Video Solution, a solution designed to make any camera ‘smart’ by enabling video analysis with Artificial Intelligence on video streams from any device, new or existing.
Thanks to this solution, any installation, even those that are not of the latest generation, can be enriched with smart video analytics capabilities by applying artificial intelligence to any video source. Compatibility with a wide range of fixed and mobile video surveillance devices is ensured by its certification for Onvif GST profiles, making it suitable for any design requirement.
With AI Video Solution, cameras can automatically detect and monitor individuals, faces and objects within the framed scenes, promptly reporting any events of interest to the Control Room or SOC. Through the automatic recognition of particular conditions, AI Video Solution improves real-time event awareness and management, minimising false alarms and increasing the timeliness of the emergency response. The use of Artificial Intelligence is a huge step forward compared to traditional video analysis, as it ensures more reliable and accurate analysis.
The solution contains several ready-to-use AI algorithm packages that allow rapid customisation of the analyses to be performed and offer tailor-made tools to examine the scene according to specific needs. Multiple analyses can be carried out simultaneously on a single video stream.
“Traditional video surveillance is based on manual control by operators monitoring multiple cameras simultaneously, but this activity is prone to human error and it is not certain that the operator in the control room can effectively monitor multiple video sources,” comments Marco Bavazzano, CEO of Axitea. “Artificial intelligence is an important technological evolution in the field of security and video surveillance; it offers a new way of extracting content from images, in order to analyse videos autonomously to detect events and alert the operator in real time, who can then react quickly and efficiently to potential threats.”
“Today, the leading manufacturers of video surveillance cameras make products with integrated video analysis systems, but in order to access these services, customers are often forced to replace their systems with state-of-the-art products,” adds Bavazzano. “This is an investment that not all customers are willing to make, which is why we have developed a proposition that allows any existing camera to be upgraded with Artificial Intelligence.”
