Intelligent waste management – together with water, energy and traffic management – is becoming increasingly important to develop Smart Cities<\/strong>. Increasingly widespread in all regions, the companies that deal with waste management support the growth of a solid market by involving operators in the various processing stages: from collection to transport to disposal and recycling.Anti-pollution regulations in the waste sector are becoming increasingly complex and strict, causing a rise in costs and forcing operators to continuously search for innovative processes in order not to lose profitability. This objective is also achieved through the use of technologies – such as IoT sensors, RFID, GPS<\/strong> – which provide significant operational benefits<\/strong> and support the development of this sector.<\/p>\t\t\n

\n\t\tThe collaboration with Axitea\n\t<\/h2>\n\t

S.E.S.A.<\/strong> (Societ\u00e0 Estense Servizi Ambientali) was established in 1995 with a majority public shareholding, and its corporate purposes include separate waste collection, recycling, disposal, transport, and waste plant design, development, construction and operation.<\/p>\n

The Company is currently engaged in the development of environmental technologies<\/strong> for waste obtained from separate collection, including energy production, to replace simple waste disposal activities.<\/p>\n

With the aim of reviewing its processes and making them more efficient and effective, S.E.S.A. turned to Axitea, which suggested the creation of a customized<\/strong>, integrated solution<\/strong> to digitally manage all the different aspects of the process.<\/p>\n

The proposed solution was suitable for the “Piano Nazionale Impresa 4.0<\/strong>” (National Business Plan), the government’s initiative launched in 2016 to support and encourage companies that invest in new capital goods, and tangible and intangible assets (software and IT systems) that are functional to the technological and digital transformation of production processes.<\/p>\n\t\t\t\t\"Ico-pos-Pattugliamento\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\t\t\t

Axitea’s services have made the waste collection process more efficient by digitizing and controlling the various phases, while at the same time increasing the fleet safety level, and complying with the “high technological content” and “remote control by computerized systems” plan requirements to increase production process efficiency.In particular, the installation of digital sensors for weight control and analogue sensors for filling level evaluation have provided a new and useful exchange of information with the company software, and a consequent automatic control of the collection process.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\n\t\t

\n\t\t\tThe project\n\t\t<\/h2>\n\t\t\t
